Lijadu Sisters - Horizon Unlimited

From Nigeria in 1979, The Lijadu Sisters open up the album/EP with the minimalist-but-actually-only-the-drums, off-groove yet funky Orere-Elejigbo which will be stuck in your head for days even if you (like me) do not speak any Yoruba. And they round out the album with another super groovy, but more traditional (at least in terms of traditional European/North American instrumentation for pop/rock) tune, Not Any Longer. It is a strong and alternative album from a time where a lot of good and highly political music was released in West-Africa.
