Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (aka. DLO3) is a gritty, groovy, dirty funk ensemble from Seattle and I Told You So is their second studio album. It is good old handcrafted funk like our mom used to make it. The organ keeps the low-end in the pocket with some delicious Hammond bass/sub-bass lines while Jimmy James' almost sustainless Silvertone guitar delivers groovy, bluesy guitar riffs and chord stabs (because, no sustain, remember?) over drums that will make your head bob and your feet tap even to their soul ballad rendition of George Michael’s Careless Whisper (which incidentally sounds hilarious when the main sax part is played on a guitar with close to no sustain).
